STOP Horse Neglect & Abuse

People all over the world are neglecting and/or abusing horses!  In the State of MD, an officer or authorized agent of a humane society, a police officer or other public official required to protect animals is not authorized to remove a farm animal without the prior recommendation of a veterinarian licensed in the the State.   Help change this provision!!

"In the steady gaze of the horse shines a silent eloquence that speaks of love and loyalty, strength and courage. It is the window that reveals to us how willing is his spirit, how generous his heart."

We the undersigned would like to encourage a change in the state's current provision of The Annoted Code of Maryland, Section 10-615 (f) 2, to allow an officer or authorized agent of a humane society, a police officer or other public official required to protect animals be authorized to remove a farm animal WITHOUT the prior recommendation of a veterinarian licensed in the State.
