This petition is to allow
swimming on the North Side of Cummings Beach. Currently, it is reserved for windsurfers.
We, the undersigned, hereby petition the City of Stamford to:
1. Open the larger NORTH side of Cummings beach to ALLOW SWIMMING and to provide a lifeguard. (Currently, it is reserved for WINDSURFING ONLY. There is NO SWIMMING allowed.)
2. Provide an on-duty police officer from the hours of 9-5 PM on the weekends - where swimming is allowed on the smaller South side of the beach.
We the undersigned residents of Stamford, Connecticut are hereby petitioning the City of Stamford to:
