Online petitions are a waste of time.

Yet, we are often bothered with email campaigns and message board posts from clueless internet users thinking that singing a petition is going to make any type of difference. It never does.
While there are some well meaning petitions out there (social and political) most petitions are really petulant complaints on trivial non important matters. Movie and comic book related petitions are among the worst offenders, to the point were the petitions themselves are an insult to the collective intelligence of internet users.
No more, sign this petition and demand an end to the madness. Let's save some internet bandwidth for more important manners and eliminate another internet annoyance once and for all.
