Stop corporations from over working and under paying employees
As a licensed cosmetologist for 30 yrs. Living in Florida the cost of living has gone up. Majority of private salons had to shit theor doors and close down since covid. Corporations now control the industry. Having work both. I c am state that stylist as t are gettomg paid 10% less than prior to covid. Thw company was bought out by a large corporation with several different buosmess. Ja b ingredients never owned a salon Corporations are ignorant to how a salon is successful. Example: assuming all hairdressers are the same. Causing new hires w zero experience to practice om paying clients. As a stylist and not manager they have put the responsibility of training her on myself. W sero compensation. During my already booked achedule w clients. As well as the reposibilityof h er lack of talent or mistakes.
But my biggest issue is both my manager and district and regional managers thst as long as they receive their bonuses, they ignore ignore the inappropriate and unprofessional behavior of our salon leader
Who controls everyone's buck, along with whether or not it's new clients, our r correctly and not just on her book. The manager is the least capable, and the most narcissistic. A woman I've worked with for 30 years. She lacks talent, but she brings in the numbers. She causes an unhealthy work environment and because it's emotional and verbal abuse, it's her word against our so. HR has been informed by everyone. All nine other stylists, and yet we're the ones who get reprimanded period. All because corporate only looks at the numbers and bottom line periot, even though if one person was removed from the equation, we would be a million dollars store period
