Free Crystal Sturgill

Crystal Sturgill was wrongfully convicted in the 1997 murder of the Lillelid Murders along with Five of her Co-Defendants. She had minimal role in the crime and was at the wrong place at the wrong time and had no intention of hurting that poor family. Crystal was arrested along with her co-defenedants and was forced to be tried with them. Because Crystal was an legally an "adult," she faced the death penalty. Before the trial was to begin, the Prosecutor offered each of the Six Defendants a Plea Bargain where they could all plead guilty to avoid the Death Penalty. They only had 3 days to sign this plea bargain and it was an-all or nothing deal where each one had to take it. Crystal reluctantly took and pleaded guilty to all of the murders with improper counsel representing her. During Sentencing, the Judge told her she had the least role in the murder but because she didn't call or help or go to authorities she was just as guilty. She was initially sentenced to Three Consecutive Life Terms in Prison without the Possibility of Parole followed by an additional 25 years for the attempted murder of Peter Lillelid. Her sentence was reduced several years ago where her sentences would run concurrent now but still without parole. Crystal has been granted a Clemency Hearing in February 2023 where she will go before a Parole board. She has served 22 years in Prison now and has been a modeled inmate. She had no intention on hurting that family and she wasn't even close to that group. She was only along for the ride because she was kicked out of her home when she turned 18 and had nowhere else to go. Crystal deserves freedom now. I am not saying she is innocent, yes she didn't go to authorities and she didn't report the crime, but how would you react if you weren't familiar with the area and you saw the people you were with murder an innocent family. I know I would be in fear for my life. Please like this page and please read more about Crystal Sturgill.
