Warning label requirements for helium balloons and tanks in retail stores and flower shops
Inhaling helium causes asphyxiation resulting in death. My goal is for people to look at helium as dangerous and not something funny to inhale. By putting warning signs on these tanks and Mylar balloons people will learn to view helium differently. Awareness on the dangers can save lives.
People have always thought that inhaling helium was something fun to do. We use helium balloons for every type of event and all occasions. The fun thing to do has always been to inhale so that your voice sounds funny. This is no laughing matter inhaling helium can cause asphyxiation resulting in death. Helium is used for suicide and is listed on the inhalant prevention list. Our goal is to bring awareness by requiring that Mylar balloons have warnings on them. Along with the helium tank in retail stores and flower shops. Raising awareness can save lives

Helium is used everyday all around the world for all kinds of events. People inhale the helium from balloons or a tank usually on an impulse.. They have always thought of helium as something funny to inhale. Only it's not!!! Helium can cause asphyxiation resulting in death.
