Vote No on NH HOUSE BILL 1485

This bill, if passed, would make it more difficult for the low income and working poor residents of the state of New Hampshire to obtain suitable housing.

New Hampshire state law RSA 540-A:6, currently, allows landlords to charge first months rent and a security deposit of at least $100 and not exceeding monthly rent.

The proposed change could increase the amount required to obtain an apartment to the equivalent of three months rent.

This move could be devastating to both current and future residents of the state and should NOT be passed.
