Save the basketball hoops for the sake of our kids!

The GM and BoD's recently made a decision to keep a rule in place that states, ....."the playing surface of the basketball hoop must be be within the bounds of the property owner (i.e. driveway) and may not extend into the roadway. LLA reserves the right to demand removal of any temporary basketball hoop." We all understand that hoops should never be placed in a dangerous location. Unfortunately, the rules preclude many residents with hoops to even use them due to topography-steep driveways. You are no longer able to have a hoop face the road. Large #'s of residents have received citations and their hoops are no longer playable. Hundreds of kids have been negativeIy impacted during an already difficult time. Most hoops are on the residents property, although face the road for obvious reasons - playable surface.
All we are asking for is some leeway and the change of one word in the rules & regs. Instead of, " ....the playing surface of the basketball hoop MUST be within the bounds of the property owner (driveway)...", we would like to see SHOULD. This would allow for some leeway and the ability for most hoop owners to leave them in place if deemed safe by LLA.
