Stop TV's Parenthood from promoting junk food vending machines

High Fructose corn syrup is now linked as a cause of autism. This program's current story line has many episodes about a young man with Asperger's being irate that the candy vending machine has been removed from a middle school. He infact runs for student council president and wins on the premise that kids should have skittles as often as they want. How is it eithical to have someone promote the very thing that caused their illness?
