STOP USING SLAVE LABOR TO MAKE CHOCOLATE

The majority of the big name chocolate brands use slave labor to produce their chocolate. In fact, all chocolate except those advertised as fair trade are produced by child slave labor.

Young boys whose ages range from 12 to 16 have been sold into slave labor and are forced to work in cocoa farms day and night for hours on end in order to harvest the beans from which chocolate is made under inhumane conditions and extreme abuse. A UNICEF study reports that 200,000 children are trafficked yearly in West and Central Africa. The beans are then shipped to processing companies in the U.S. and then they are transported to the chocolate manufacturers who make the chocolate confections. All chocolate companies except those advertised as fair trade are involved in this cruel practice.
