Property developer Mactaggart & Mickel are applying to South Lanarkshire Council for planning permission to build 350 houses on one of the only beautiful natural landscapes left in Cambuslang. This is going to create 7 - 10 years of building, upheaval and down right mess for the people who currently reside here. We do not want, or need this.
We, the undersigned, would like to object to the planned buillding of 350 houses on the land at Gilbertfield farm.
Many residents feel that the continued expansion of the local population will place a strain upon the facilities and resources of the area. There are also issues regarding the possible subsidence that may affect existing houses, should work commence.
The dangers of building an area of residence so close to a rifle range are endless, not to mention the flooding, mines and years of upheaval to local residents.
We strongly object to this planned development.
