Now I know what you are thinking, this sounds crazy, but hear me out. I bet most of you are thinking, "why would I ever want something like that as my state flower?" Well let me tell you, these magnificent flowers are a staple in Michigan. They are perennials that show up every year, almost everywhere in Michigan, and start to really bloom in the Middle of the summer. Some people may find these bad boys annoying, but that's because they never really stopped to take in their beauty. Some people don't know but they also make very good house plants (I do not have one myself l, but I have seen many folks keep them in their house). They are really beautiful, and quite amazing flowers! Let's make a change for the better!
