Stop Employers From Using Your Credit to Deny a Job
Many employers deny employment to individuals that have bad or fair credit. Most people have been laid off or lost their jobs and suffered from financial hardships that damaged their credit. This act by employers should be made illegal when the job does not require the individual to have good credit and no credit background check should be provided for the job applicant or candidate to authorize.
We the undersigned petition to make it illegal for employers to deny or provide credit reporting agency authorizations to candidates/applicants seeking employment for a job that does not require, or is unreasonable to require the candidate/applicant/employee to have good credit.
