For those wanting to know more, here is a time line of events that have gotten us thus far. The rescue has said that they would rather close down then give the dog back. Molly came from a very loving home and the circumstances surrounding this entire thing are just heart breaking and infuriating. We appreciate all the support that everyone has shown during this process.

August 23rd -- Carla's father who is mostly blind and suffering from Alzheimer's accidentally let Molly out

August 23rd -- The family looked for the dog, posted flyers, and called MCACC. When they called MCACC, they were told that they get too many dogs, won't take a description over the phone, and they would have to come down to look.

August 23rd -- In the early evening a local man, Tim, found Molly and took her to a nearby veterinary clinic to be scanned for a microchip.  There was no chip so he took her home.

August 24th -- After 1 night, Tim realized that Molly would not fit in their family, with their other dogs, and she was picked up by MCACC around 6:00pm

August 24th -- 5:00 pm Carla walked the MCACC facility looking for Molly, but she was not there.

August 27th -- 12:00pm A friend called the veterinary clinic by her house to see if they ever get strays.  She was told not normally, but they had a Boston Terrier brought in on the 23rd to be scanned.  The man, Tim, left his name and number in case anybody asked.  Carla called Tim and he told her his story and that Molly was at MCACC.

August 27th -- 1:00 pm Carla walked the MCACC facility looking for Molly, but she was not there.

August 27th -- Around 2:00pm  Carla found Molly on the MCACC webpage so she contacted MCACC and was told that Molly had been adopted out that morning.  Brandon, from MCACC, said he would contact the adopters to see if they would give her back and would call Carla with the answer.  He never called back.

August 28th -- When Carla called MCACC back and asked for Brandon, he would not take her call.  All day on the 28th, she got the run around from MCACC.  Finally in the evening, she was told to submit a Public Information Request to get any information.

August 29th -- Carla submitted the Public Information Request and was told she would get a response in 10 to 14 days.

From August 27th through September 14th, Carla monitored a number of Arizona dog rescue websites including the AZBTR website.

September 14th -- Carla found Molly, listed as "Carly", was added to the AZBTR website and listed as "Adoption Pending".  She immediately contacted the AZBTR to claim her.

Since September 14th we have been in communication with AZBTR, but they refuse to return Molly.
