Demanding the indictment of Laura Cass for kidnapping, child abuse, extortion and racketeering.

We find Laura Cass, title GAL/ Guardians ad Litem guilty of kidnapping, child abuse, extortion and racketeering.

In the state of New Mexico GAL have immunity to lawsuits even if they break the law or commit perjury. This law must change and GAL's must be held accountable for their actions.

A quick look at how the family courts' Multi-million-dollar expert industry operates reveals a system that is built to invite corruption. The experts are paid thousands of dollars by one or both parents, facts on how their opinions were formed are strictly forbidden to be reviewed by the public, and state laws help shield these Decision-makers from potential lawsuits; granting them immunity no matter how Draconian or unbalanced their actions or methods ultimately are. Judges appoint court experts, such as Custody Evaluators (a Forensic Psychologist who can be paid upwards of $10,000 to do a brief eval of a family to determine who belongs where) or Guardians ad Litem (who require much less credentials and are supposed to be representing the child as his/her own advocate, but often project their own cultural beliefs or personal family values, even their own internal issues in place of fact finding and seeking the child's needs themselves) to investigate and make recommendations about what is in the child's best interest. "The court follows the recommendations in the evaluation in over 90 percent of custody cases," But these experts don't always work together and often have conflicting opinions and/or solutions which can further complicate the case, and add unnecessary trauma to these already tragedy-stricken situations. Experts can also distract entirely from what the family themselves are trying to communicate. The judge rarely gets the full picture of a case before issuing a life-altering decision, so the family's pleas, needs and current (emotional, financial, etc.) circumstance should be the top priority. Experts are supposed to aid, but often do nothing but drain the parties financially and cause irreparable damage to families and the children's fragile psyche.
