Please help keep Serval and Savannah Cats permitted in Maple Ridge, B.C.Canada

The City of Maple Ridge is currently trying to pass a new bylaw under the  "Animal Control & Licsensing Bylaw No. 6908-2012".

This new bylaw will PROHIBIT Servals and Savannahs within the city of Maple Ridge, B.C.
If this bylaw passes Servals and Savannahs will no longer be legal in this area and as such, owners will either have to relocate with their pets or their pets could potentially be taken away from their loving owners and homes.

WE WANT THE CITY OF MAPLE RIDGE TO HAVE SERVALS CLEARLY LISTED AS PERMITTED ANIMALS WITHIIN THE BYLAW.

Servals and Savannahs are NOT dangerous or endangered.

All Servals found in North America and Europe today are from MANY, MANY generations of tame cats.

The Times Newspaper (UK) reported on a case of a tame Serval that had accompanied the “owner” to a central London restaurant. The date was November 12th 1923. So, you can see that domestication of this cat is not a recent idea.

We believe this new Bylaw would cause nothing but harm to Savannahs and Servals.

Our cats are like our children and we would truly appreciate all your help and signatures. Please sign our petition.
