PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION AND SHARE WITH EVERYONE YOU CAN AS A WAY TO TAKE A STAND FOR ALL ABUSED, NEGLECTED AND INJURED ANIMALS SUCH AS IN THIS HORRIFYING STORY!

Can you imagine starving your dog, wrapping it in a plastic garbage bag and tossing it in the trash chute like yesterdays refuse??!!!  That is exactly what a 29-year old New Jersey woman did just a few weeks ago to a precious animal.  A live and living being!!!!!!  Oh sure, she admitted it and pleaded guilty and was pretty much given a little slap on the hand!  That will stop animal use for sure, won’t it??  Something more crucial needs to be done for people that regard animals as inanimate objects with no feelings, emotions and a purpose in life.

The woman says she tied up this gorgeous pit bull outside to a railing while going out of state for more than a week with no food or water.  He was near death when found in the plastic bag in the garbage chute, was treated and did survive.  The dog was rescued around St. Patrick ’s Day and named Patrick.

There was an extensive custody fight over the dog that erupted after his much-publicized plight resulted in thousands of letters and donations from around the world and she was not allowed to get him back.  Patrick became famous with his own Face Book page where millions have followed his progress at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Patrick-the-Wonder-Dog/109451749137754 .  Since then Patrick has been living with a foster family following initial care by the Associated Humane Societies and then Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, where he was nursed back to health.

Can you believe, even though she was sentenced to 18 months, she got off with a slap on the hand and “don’t do it again” because it was a first offense.  They claim that she was responsible for torment and torture of the dog because of the abandonment but not witnessed placing the dog in the trash.  This is absurd!  With such menial verdicts and punishment, animal cruelty will never stop and we have to change that!  Please sign and share the petition in support of Patrick and for all the other animals out there that deserve a better life!

Laws need to be changed for more stringent penalties, punishment and jail time when guilty of hurting, abusing, abandoning and neglecting an animal.  These are live, loving and warm beings that do not deserve such horrendous abuse.  Such menial punishment and jail time will never begin to teach these cowards that it is inhumane to hurt an animal.  Please enforce stronger, stiffer, more stringent laws and penalties/jail time as way to get the message across – hurting animals is a huge and very painful crime.  Please help to protect them.
