Concernd former pet parent
I say that with deep over whelming sadness I've had 6 cats mysteriously disappear from my yard, I know this pain all to well, either by theft to keep as one of their own , or two pluck them up and dump them far from there loving parents arms, to be abandoned to the wild with No one to care for them, or worse killed as i fear this may be the outcome for beautiful babies, this happens to cats much more than dogs, but the heart break and hurt is just the same. There needs to be strict laws on these types of crimes, I use the word crime because that's what it is,
You can't go any where and just take what you want with no penalty,
If these people knew they will go to jail or prison of caught, they would stop. Animal found must be brought or some how implement away for them to be scanned easily so as to make sure they are returned to there loving homes,
So im writing to address a matter close to my heart and one that demands urgent attention - the safety and protection of our beloved feline companions a dog companions It is with great distress that I share my personal experience of losing six of my cherished cats to individuals who callously took them away or even worse, and possibly caused harm to them out of sheer dislike.
The pain and anguish of losing a pet in such a manner is beyond words, and I believe it is high time for us to take a stand against these despicable acts. I wholeheartedly support your initiative to petition for stronger penalties for those who engage in the cruel and heartless act of picking up, dumping, or harming animals simply because of their personal preferences.
I'm still hoping for the return of the latest one missing my babie Sissy.
We must urge Congress to implement stricter penalties such mandatory jail time, if caught to serve as a deterrent and to protect the innocent animals who bring so much joy and companionship into our lives. Together, we can make a compelling case that highlights the urgent need for stronger legislation to prevent such tragedies from recurring.
