My goal is to collect 1,000 signatures to present to the Fremon County Department of Human Services and the Colorado Attorney General so that they can see what a huge mistake it was removing our 3 children solely on the basis of hearsay, false allegations, and speculation. There was NO ABUSE!
I am a family rights advocate from Colorado. Our two youngest children are being raised by my mother and her female 'partner'. The oldest is in a juvenile 'treatment' facility for assaulting my mother. She has been there since December. Our children have been in their custody since Feb. of 06, exactly 3 years. My husband & I have been married since 1992. Yes, we have had problems, but we have worked through many. We also completed CPS's treatment plan, but cps says it's not good enough. We are only allowed to see the little ones for 2 hours once a week. This is unfair. Have you ever heard of Parental Alienation Syndrome? This is what is going on here. We have not seen our oldest since early Jan. when she was in juvie. Since she has been moved to El Pueblo Boys & Girls Ranch, child protective services has taken over, and we have been given a 'no contact' order, totally against her wishes! She had MORE rights in juvenile detention! My mother's 'partner' is an authoritarian control freak who is hitting our 6 yr old son and favors our 2 yr old daughter. CPS will not question my children on wheter abuse is taking place or their wishes! It is heartbreaking to hear my little ones say they want to come back home & live with mommy/daddy. This 'partner' has no biological children of her own, and the two children she did raise, one turned out a lesbian and the other one is dead. My mother does not seem to realize the fact that she is in an abusive relationship and people don't understand the fact that domestic violence is just as prevelant in homosexual households as it is in hetrosexual ones. Many of my mother's live-in partners were physically and verbally abusive to me growing up. I refuse to take any abuse from her current 'partner' and they are using this against me by punishing the children by not letting them see me, their mother!
I have written anybody & everybody with my story, including various magazines, TV talk shows, news shows, and various government officials and agencies. Nobody has the courage to expose the atrocities of Child Protective Services. They are modern day terrorists. I pray that someday there will be media coverage and justice for those of us wrongfully accused by cps!
