Save the USS/USCGC Glacier

  • recipient: We want to save the historic and irreplaceable icebreaker the USS/USCGC Glacier to become the world's leading environmental museum.

Miami, FL: The Glacier has an unequaled history of exploration and science discovery. No other ship afloat can lay claim to discovering the last and previously uncharted, pristine waters the Glacier has sailed.

People will want to learn of this history while coming to the Glacier's new home in Miami that will unite the interests of invited environmental organizations from around the world. On the Glacier visitors will learn about the many efforts that are being made to improve our planet.

Glacier will be the authoritative museum on environmental, oceanographic, polar and earth science studies and learning. This exists no where else in the world today.
