Sign to Stop Mayor Pat Sobeski and Fanshawe College From Killing Woodstock's New Art Gallery

MAYOR TO SELL NEW ART GALLERY BEFORE IT OPENS

After years of striving for the hope of having the building of a new Art Gallery for the City of Woodstock the "Friends of the Gallery"  finally had received the funding to build that Gallery. After donating $151,000 dollars that was raised by a group of ladies dime by dime by doing small fundraising activities the government granted the city of Woodstock with 4.4 Million dollars.
The gallery would have opened without costing taxpayers any extra money. However, as it seems this was not enough for Mayor Sobeski. Mayor Sobeski made a decision recently.... He took the money donated by the individuals who raised $151,000 dollars along with the additional 4.4 million in grants and decided to use the building as a bargaining chip to entice Fanshawe College. 

If Mayor Pat Sobeski gets what he wishes to undergo, Woodstock will not receive a new art gallery because $4,400,000 in grants was a one time occurrence that will never be reimbursed. Even if Mayor Pat Sobeski were able to pay the "friends of the gallery" back their donated money through city taxes a new art gallery would never be built do to lack of funds.
