Justice For Jackson

Ms. Jackson was recently and unjustly fired from her teaching position due to what has been deemed as "poor work performance" by principal Roger Sanchez at Ridgeview High School in Bakersfield, California. Sanchez stated that Jackson performed poorly though his evaluations are not consistent with this statement. For example, after she was rated effective in all of the subcategories of Suitable Learning Environment of her evaluations she was rated unsatisfactory in the final summary of those evaluations. The numerous inconsistencies in her evaluations raise questions about the motives and intentions of Roger Sanchez.

We want to stand together to right this wrong and ensure that this does not happen to Ms. Jackson or other individuals. We believe that the professional approach Mr. Sanchez should have taken would have been to recuse himself from the evaluation due to his working relationship with Ramon Hendrix, the superintendent of the Greenfield Union School District who is being openly investigated for discrimination practices against Jackson.

Ms. Jackson is an impactful educator whose mission is to serve the students and her community. She is an educator who is passionate and puts the time in to build lasting relationships with her students. We are asking that Ms. Jackson, who is an extraordinary teacher, not be fired from the Kern High School district. Sign the petition and help us fight this fight to keep a great educator at this school site.
