Demand Shops and Public Buildings Turn Down the Heat!

Increasingly, it seems to be the case that the heating in shops and public buildings is turned up so high, it's actually uncomfortable. In the face of a climate emergency, this just seems ridiculous - not to mention irresponsible - especially when many of the places guilty of overheating their buildings are taking other measures to improve their green credentials.

Surely, if the heating is turned up for staff, it would be more cost-effective and more environmentally-friendly to give them weather appropriate clothing instead of polo shirts, and turn the heat down.

Retailers and public buildings - please, turn down your heat - for the sake of the environment, and for the sake of the high street and the comfort of the customers who use it. By continuing to make your buildings too hot, you're not only damaging the environment and wasting money - you're giving the public yet another reason to shop online instead.
