Petition to Protect Fairfax County Parks
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who wish to convey to the Fairfax County Executive and Board of Supervisors (BOS) that we do not support a 15% cut to the Fairfax County Park Authority Budget in FY11. We urge the County Executive and BOS to take steps to increase county revenue so that these cuts are not necessary. We wish to convey that the protection and proper management of the 23,000 acres of parkland that is currently owned by the Park Authority is crucial to the future environmental health of Fairfax County and its citizens.
