Tell Tennis Player -- Women Should Be Paid the Same as Men!

Top-ranked tennis player Gilles Simon said that he believes women tennis players should be paid less than men tennis players.

Simon explained that he thinks the men's game is "more attractive" and "offers more to spectators" and that equal pay "doesn't work in sport".

Wimbeldon just barely started paying women and men equally five years ago, and even with that change in policy, women still make less than men -- $337 less per tour point, $27,670 less per singles title won, and $31,337 less per year.

Women tennis players deserve to be paid the same as men. Not only is that discrimination, but women make the same sacrifices, work just as hard, and are just as dedicated to the game as men are.

Please tell Gilles Simon that women tennis players should be paid the same as men!

I am writing to you today to talk about your comment at Wimbeldon concerning equal pay for women tennis players.

It is not fair, nor is it right, to discriminate based on someone's sex when it comes to wages.

Women tennis players bring the same amount of dedication, hard work, and love for the game to tennis as men do.
