Erase The Legal Judgement 'Minor' Against Children

A word may seem a very little thing; words provide power to enforce the meanings of words in every area of life and to the letter-of-the-law - a law that defines the child as a 'minor' human being i.e. Unimportant, insignificant, trivial, of little or no concern.

That dictionary and legal definition of the child as 'minor', equates to a judgement against children and that ongoing judgement impacts humanity in myriad ways e.g. Austerity - a government may opt to implement an economic policy of austerity, regardless of how that policy will impact on children - an army may opt to bomb a civilian area despite children occupying that place; military & economic impacts on children are a 'minor' concern.

When we fully appreciate the true power of that judgement 'minor' against children, we understand why our authorities have dismally failed to investigate crimes against children and why child abusers have been protected and even, celebrated; crimes against children are a 'minor' issue and children's crime reports are 'minor' reports, citing 'minor' crimes committed against 'minor' citizens of Britain.

Children are not 'minor' human beings, a child is a developing-human-being and therefore, is a very-important-person; the child is our future and their formative years are vital to laying the foundations of what kind of adults they grow up to be and how they will perceive themselves and their own children.

Defining children as 'minors' has had a profound influence on our collective-consciousess for centuries, we have been spellbound by the words - the blindly accepted judgements the words impart, have facilitated covert consent for crime, negligence and ignorance.

When we put the child first, when we recognise the true VIPs of this world are our children, when we can erase the label 'minor' - life on Earth will get better.
