Ask the Turkish government to stop blocking the resettlement of refugees with university degrees

Thousands of Syrian refugees are locked without hope in Turkish territory, a country with a wide record of mistreatment of refugees and a permanent social and political instability because of the authoritarian drift of President Erdogan.

The only hope for peace, security and future for these women, children and men is get a resettlement in a completely safe developed country in Western Europe or the United States. However, some refugees are facing an unexpected difficulty: Turkey is blocking the resettlement of refugees with university degrees. The reason? They say they are “less vulnerable”.

How can they say that the thousands of educated people who have fled Syria leaving everything behind, who have gone through countless difficulties and who are in a situation of total helplessness, are in a better situation than the rest? Especially when they can't even access to a work permit in Turkey to put in practise their knowledge, being also doomed to illegal and marginal jobs.

We must act now to end this blockage. Sign this petition to the Turkish government and help me get thousands of refugee families with educated members finally resettled in a safe home.

Turkish Government,

End now the blockage of Syrian refugees with university degrees.
