Allow Student Finance to Discretionary citizens

The issue that I am about to explain makes me extremely anxious, frustrated and worried for the future of our generation.
Every student and parents knows that University fees are ridiculously expensive now a days, and don't even get me started on the fact that maintenance money is not longer a grant but a loan. anyways at least we have student finance right? Wrong!
I mean unless you're British of course, that's right in case you didn't know, citizens students who only hold a Discretionary leave to remain (DLR) are pretty much screwed.
It is not fair that you're not eligible for student finance if you have Discretionary leave unless you've been living in the UK for half of your life or sevens years but you have to be under 18. Who even attends University under the age of 18??? PATHETIC!!!
I mean I hold a DLR myself and been in the UK for 7 years that's almost a decade of my entire life, went to secondary school and sixth form and worked my butt off to get the grades to go to a good Uni. But I have been penalized and neglected a chance to actually do something that's only going to benefit this country in the future.
It it's not fair that DLR are not given the same chance as everyone else, I mean if you've been living in a country for more than 5 years it's likely that you want to remain in that country. If Britain is really about equality and Human rights then why are DLR people not given the same rights. Everyone has the right to an Education but neglecting student finance to someone who needs it to go to University is taking that right from them.
Help me get justice for all the DLR students who are not being given the chance and opportunity and sign to this petition for a chance to make a change.
