Anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers are taxpayer funded. But to work or volunteer there, a person must be a Christian. Centers are not allowed to use government money to promote their religious beliefs, but they use religion in their hiring decisions and encourage introducing women that come there to Jesus Christ.
Some states have even required women to get counseling from crisis pregnancy centers before getting an abortion, where they are often provided with misleading and false information.
During a time when the government is trying to defund Planned Parenthood -- an organization that provides real health services and information to people in need -- the government is funding religiously biased institutions that spread more harm than good. Please tell the US government to defund crisis pregnancy centers!
Please defund religiously biased crisis pregnancy centers. Not only do they discriminate on the basis of religion when it comes to employment and volunteering, but they spread false information to women in need and make it a goal to bring them to Jesus Christ.
This is wrong and needs to be stopped!
