Urge Sarasota District Attorney to Press Animal Cruelty Charges Against Frank Murray

  • by: Nati Lima

On Saturday, November 28, Donald Trump held a rally in Sarasota, Florida featuring an unusual guest: a real elephant. The animal was forced to be there by the company ‘The Elephant Walk’ whose owner, Frank Murray, is an avid Trump supporter, so much so he was compelled to write in chalk on the side of the elephant “TRUMP MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

By writing on the elephant, Murray, an elephant handler who's been charged with animal cruelty towards elephants in the past, has broken FL Animal Cruelty Statute 828.161 (Prohibiting artificial coloring and sale of certain animals and fowls; construction). 'The Elephant Walk’ is a repeat offender of this law too. The company’s Facebook page celebrated California governor Brown vetoing a bullhook ban SB 716 by writing on the elephant like it’s a chalk board (https://www.facebook.com/TheWalkingElephant/photos/a.481250538711108.1073741832.480989872070508/492565867579575/?type=3&theater).

Urge Sarasota County District Attorney Ed Brodsky to press charges against Frank Murray for his crimes against Essex

Dear Ed Brodsky,

On Saturday, November 28, 2015, Frank Murray brought in an elephant to the Donald Trump campaign rally with the words "TRUMP MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" written in chalk on its side.

By writing on the animal, Murray has broken FL Statute 828.161 prohibiting articificial coloring and sale of certain animals. His company 'The Elephant Walk' is a repeat offender of this statute as evidenced in the company's Facebook page that features other pictures of the elephant with scribbles and drawings on it.

Please press charges against Frank Murray for his actions and bring him to justice for his acts of animal cruelty.

Thank you.
