Bring Back Digital Life 2008

Digital Life, the biggest gadget and gaming convention on the East Coast (held in New York from September 25-28 at the Javits Center), has been canceled for 2008. The company that runs it, Ziff Davis Publishing Holdings Inc. has blamed the economy for their reason to cancel Digital Life 2008. Digital Life sells more and gets more and more crowded each year, so I don't think that's the real reason. Every major brand was going to showcase their products at Digital Life, and this year could have been the best Digital Life ever with such strong support.
All of the major hardware and gadget companies are supporting Digital Life, if we can show them how much we support the convention and show them potential for selling more tickets than ever this year, I'm sure we can do something about it. Digital Life was still filling up their exhibits list and already had the show planned even days before their quick decision to cancel it. Most, if not all, of the brands that were going to showcase their products there weren't even aware that the show was going to be cancelled, and already had everything ready. Digital Life had almost everything ready and the companies that were planning to display their products had everything ready.
If we can reach at least 1,000 signatures quickly maybe we can convince the company that runs Digital Life that they could have their best show ever this year. Almost everything was ready and the site barely mentions that it was canceled, here's our chance to try to get them to bring it back.
