To halt Dollar General or any other store from being built in residential area

There is supposedly a dollar general looking to build a store RIGHT NEXT TO US. We live approximately 500 yards from a corner of 2 state routes but for some reason want to build between us and neighbor who apparently is thinking about selling to them. I don't have a problem with Dollar General per say, I shop there probably twice a month. We live in a rural area, there is a dollar general approximately 5 miles from here. I don't want a parking lot with a business that will need a retention pond within 300 ft of my property. Not when there's a corner 500 yards from my property. Not sure if it's a done deal, just came upon the surveyor on 11/12/2021. We will be contacting a lawyer to see what we can do. I already thought of a petition and happened to sign petition for planetary liberation and figured I would put my petition here. Thank you for looking and hopefully signing. God bless 🙏
