Seat Belts for All Passenger Seats on Los Angeles Buses.

It has long been established that wearing seat belts in cars helps prevent severe injuries and deaths;

and whereas all buses owned and operated by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation {LADOT} and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority {LACMTA} all have seat belts for the drivers of all the buses they own and operate but none for the passengers.

Therefore, we the undersigned request that LADOT and LACMTA both install seat belts in all the passenger seats of all the buses that they own and operate to ensure the safety of their passengers.
