Demand protection for the natural habitat of Watt's Cove

Maine is a beautiful state. The wildlife and pristine beauty of it's coastlines and coves are special and should be taken care of. There are gaps in the town, state and federal laws that allow people that aren't interested in conserving this beauty a free pass to destroy it.

We are a group of people that live on Watts Cove and want to see it protected from anyone that intends to disregard conservation of the wildlife, habitat and natural beauty of the cove.

Tuesday August 9th at 7pm at the St. George, Maine Town Office there will be a decision made on allowing a new part time resident's plans for a 30' aluminum ramp to a 12' float built to the middle of the pristine cove to go through that we believe will greatly impact all we are trying to preserve.

Please sign this petition in support of conserving the pristine beauty and natural habitat of Watt's Cove and not allowing these destructive alterations to take place.  If you can make it to the meeting that would be wonderful too!

As you can see, after only 24 hours this petition was signed by 24 people throughout the world who care about preservation.  This cannot be overlooked as an important place to keep it the way it naturally is with minimal man made additions to the shoreline and mud flat areas, especially on a part of the cove that is so narrow and so shallow.
