STUDENT RIGHTS PETITION

Schools in the USA currently have banned "All use of technology not supplied by the school, which includes cellphones, tablets, smartwatches, health wearables with a display, and any other form of technology that is capable of any sort of distraction."
(Keep in mind, these are not the exact rules of every school, but this is the case for my area.)
While I understand why schools don't like technology, as it can inhibit learning, I think that simply making a rule where you can suspend someone for seeing a rectangle in their pocket is very oppressive. My idea is to make people not WANT to use their phone. This is very simple to do by just making the kids want to learn instead of looking at their phones. The most important thing to know, though, is that some students just don't want to learn, and there's no way to fix that besides just accepting it.
