On July 20, 2012, Saginaw County Animal Care Center murdered three dogs.

They were not sick. They were not aggressive. Their only crime: being labelled a pit bull.

Thousands of dogs are euthanized each year at Saginaw County Animal Care Center. Many of those dogs are strays whose only chance at a new life is to be transferred to a different shelter or rescue organization. Why? Because they are or even just look like pit bulls. Saginaw County Animal Care euthanizes any dog it labels a "pit bull" once it is past its 7-day stray hold.
