Stop Dog Poisoning Around Chitwan National Park

On May 15 and 16, 2014, virtually all the dogs of Sauraha, on the edge of Chitwan National Park, were poisoned. This despite the fact that humane dog management was introduced here in February 2014. Sign now to promote humane long term solutions and to stop the cruel dog killing around Chitwan National Park.

We, the undersigned, request you to immediately stop and investigate the poisoning of dogs around Chitwan National Park.

International studies have long pointed out that poisoning dogs is cruel and unscientific. Humane, scientific dog management was introduced in Sauraha in February 2014. Three organisations, Animal Nepal, Himalayan Animal Rescue Trust and Animal Rights already spayed, vaccinated and treated over 100 dogs. The programme aims to prevent rabies and stop deer killing by rogue dogs.

We urge to use your power to stop the poisoning, to investigate the event, and to promote humane dog management instead.
