Free Carlos Coy (S.P.M.) Unjustly imprisoned
- by: Dylan Cooksey
- recipient: A fair rehearing of S.P.M.s lengthy sentence with no solid evidence
Nowadays it seems that the amendments of our constitution here in The United States are just stepped on instead of honored by our corrupt congressman and governors and so forth. Carlos Coy was sentenced 45 years in prison for allegedly "sexually assaulted" a minor girl when even she herself stated that she may have dreamt the entire event. The Right to a Speedy Trial, guaranteed by the Six Amendment is intended to ensure that defendants are not subjected to unreasonably lengthy incarceration prior to a fair trial, and to ensure that the defendant is not subject to prejudice by jury nor judge.
