On 12th May there was a programme called the Island with Bear Ghrylls,
The programme premise is that men are flown out to an island to learn
'survival' skills. This programme showed a caiman (small crocodile
type reptile) being caught, trussed and then killed in the most
barbaric way, having a knife put through it's head whilst fully
conscious. Complainants to Channel 4 have been fobbed off with inane
responses. Please tell Channel 4 to STOP this barbaric and unnecessary
animal abuse for entertainment and pledge nothing of this nature will be
done again.
UPDATE 1st June.
This from Channel 4 after asking for address of CEO :'Further to your telephone conversation we note you will be sending through a petition in relation to this programme and will certainly log this and any additional feedback. However, please be advised that we stand by our response to you and we do ensure our programmes comply with OFCOM guidelines which has been the case with this series.'

How many people end up on a desert island these days! Please have some compassion and ethics and do NOT allow this to every happen again.
