Republicans in Texas just advanced a Trump plan to rig the election — pushing wildly gerrymandered districts that that make House elections essentially irrelevant, and flip 5 seats from Democrats, and lock in GOP control of the House at the national level, even if most Americans don't want it.
But we can stop them -- if we fight back, and fight fire with fire.
California is already moving ahead with a plan to flip 5 seats to Democrats, to offset Texas. Multiple other Democratic states are considering similar plans -- please join with us to urge them to do it.
Look, we are not fans of gerrymandering, but Texas Republicans fired the first shot, and if we want to save our democracy, we need to hit back harder. If you're in a boxing match, and the other guy steps in the ring with a chainsaw, it's time to recognize that the rules have changed and to hell with taking the high road.
