Five tiny kittens never stood a chance. Authorities say a man driving down a busy Alabama interstate allegedly threw five kittens from his moving vehicle into traffic, where all of them were struck and killed by passing cars. Witnesses say the horrifying scene unfolded in real time on a crowded highway, leaving drivers helpless as the terrified kittens were hit and killed.

Sign the petition to demand a lifetime ban on animal ownership and mandatory mental health counseling in addition to criminal penalties.

According to police, multiple 911 callers reported seeing the kittens being thrown from a moving vehicle near Lakeshore Drive before officers stopped the suspect and made an arrest.

This tragedy did not just harm innocent animals. It traumatized everyone forced to witness it – the drivers who could not stop in time, the people desperately calling for help, and the countless animal lovers horrified by the cruelty.

This didn't have to happen. When someone is capable of allegedly inflicting suffering on this scale, accountability alone is not enough. Meaningful intervention matters too.

Prison time may punish the crime, but rehabilitation is needed to address the deeper issues that could otherwise put more animals at risk in the future.

Sign the petition now to urge prosecutors and the court to pursue strong consequences, including mandatory mental health counseling and a permanent ban on owning or being around animals.
