Oppose Water Polluting Amendment

An amendment to the Energy and Water Development Appropriations bill (H.R. 2354) will be voted on by the Senate that will effectively leave more than 10,000 wetlands, streams, rivers, and lakes (including over 5,000 sources of public drinking water supplies) unprotected from polluters. This amendment is the Barrasso-Heller Amendment (SA 939).

This amendment would allow pesticide, rodenticide, and fungicide to be discharged into waterways would be subject to reduced regulations.

We Ask President Obama to reject and VETO this absurd assault on our clean water and oppose the Barrasso-Heller Dirty Water Amendment (SA 939) on the Energy and Water Development Appropriations bill (H.R. 2354).
