Remove the Confederate Rebel from Cuba-Rushford Schools

Cuba-Rushford Central Schools has a confederate soldier as their mascot and it needs to change. CRCS is a public school in New York State and the kids that go there should not be represented by a confederate soldier.
For years the Rebel has been modified and pushed to the background to make him more agreeable. That was not enough. We are calling on the CRCS School Board to do the right thing and remove the Rebel name and character from our schools. Give our kids, alumni, and two towns something to unite us, something to gather around, and something that represents everyone.
We could be the fish, the flamingos, the dairy cows, the tigers, the turtles, the too many deer, or nearly any other idea, but we can not remain the Rebels. Let's say something and DO something about this.
