A CLACKAMUS COUNTY NO KILL CAT SHELTER

THERE ARE TOO MANY STRAY AND FERAL CATS  TRYING TO SURVIVE ON THEIR OWN. A MAJORITY OF THEM HAVE BEEN DUMPED BY FAMILIES WHO NO LONGER WANT TO CARE FOR THEM. THEY GET THEM AS CUTE KITTENS FOR THE KIDS BUT WON'T SPEND THE MONEY TO GET THEM SPAYED OR NEUTERED OR THE NECESSARY SHOTS. SOME ARE LUCKY TO BE RESCUED AND TAKEN TO A SHELTER AND ADOPTED BUT TOO MANY DIE OUT THERE ALONE FROM STARVATION AND DISEASE. THEY NEED OUR HELP AND MOST OF US THAT CARE CANNOT DO IT ALL ON OUR OWN. WE NEED TO ASK THE COUNTY FOR FUNDS AND LAND.

Clackamus County Oregon recently built a new dog shelter for dogs but there are no facilities for cats. The few shelters that exist are overfull and hundreds are turned away daily. We can go about our lives and just ignore them as many do. We can chase them away and shut the door in their face when they are sitting there outside crying from hunger or we can follow our God given gut instincts and help them..
