As alumni of various awards of the Fulbright program we write to express our support for the Fubright US Summer Institute for Civic Activism, which last ran in 2011, but has since lost funding. This petitiion was organised by alumni of the Summer Institute who are grateful for the leadership, public speaking, intercultural and English language skills they received from the program, as well as an enhanced understanding of the United States. We write in the hope that this experience may be extended to others.
