Demand Justice for the 200 Dogs Rescued From a Kentucky Neglect Case

I'm Eric, and I Love Every Dog exists for moments exactly like this. In Edmonton, Kentucky, Kentucky State Police, working with the rescue group Guardians of Rescue, found more than 200 dogs living on property owned by Michael W. York, 34, and Natasha N. York, 35. The dogs were dehydrated, suffering from internal parasites and malnutrition, and had never been vaccinated for rabies. At least one dog had a broken leg that went untreated. Police say the Yorks have been charged with animal cruelty and failure to vaccinate.

Two hundred dogs is not a household that got out of control. It's a systemic failure that trained officers say left every one of those animals "completely dependent on their owners" and let down. Charges on paper mean little if the Yorks are allowed to walk away with reduced counts, keep any animals, or start over with a new batch of dogs once this case fades from the news.

I'm asking the Metcalfe County Attorney's Office to pursue the fullest charges the law allows against Michael W. York and Natasha N. York, to seek permanent forfeiture of every animal recovered from their property, and to bar both of them from ever owning or breeding animals again. These 200 dogs deserve a case that ends in real accountability. Please sign.
