Minimal Service Costs at Hospitals may Save the Canadian Health Care System!

In 2015, the Canadian health-care system could be facing 36 billion dollars’ worth of cuts. While Canada has always been renowned for its free Medicare system, it should not come at the expense of the quality of service.

In order to avoid these immense financial cuts, minimal service costs could be implemented at hospitals, clinics and emergency rooms. The cost could be as low as five dollars but would still be a significant source of income for the government. The cost would obviously be foregone for welfare recipients or low-income earners (who are determined based on their previous year's income tax return and updated annually).
