End Cruel Elephant and Camel rides at the Colorado Renaissance Festival

The annual Renaissance Festival in Larkspur, Colorado, is a wonderful, relaxing event. Unfortunately, elephants and camels are confined to very small rings in which their sole function is to give rides to people all day long in the hot summer sun for eight weekends. Handlers use bull hooks on the elephants to keep them moving. These animals were not meant to be in such cramped spaces and used for our entertainment. Please help put an end to these animal rides and allow this festival to continue with the other fine attractions it offers, such as craft booths, food, drink, music, and the joust.
