Stop lifelong healthcare for former government employees, force them to buy their own.

It's electtion time again, and everyone wants to talk about fixing the national debt, but they never tell you exactly how they are going to do so.  Here is a thought...

Remove lifelong health insurance from the politicians and force them to use COBRA insurance until they get a new job or until their social security takes over.  There are 2.69 million government employees active as of 2011 survey.  Let's assume that 10% of that amount are retired and still alive and paying the cheapeast insureance possible (we know it's not the case).  But assuming that they only pay 150 a month for 12 months.  That 10% less would save $468 million dollars a year.

Why should they get lifelong health care, paid for them by us the people?  We are already having to pay for our own insurance, and many people cannot afford that.
