MORE PERFECT Electoral Voting system

The problem most Americans feel in our outdated electoral voting system is this method does not reflect the true will of the people. Yet, we cant ignore the equally as important issue that our forefathers didnt want to see a nation that was ran by the majority. Protecting the voice of the few as well as many. I ask why we cant hold onto that tradition as well as add our own contemporary amendment.
I suggest that this law admends the flaws of the electoral voting system; the winner takes all. I believe for a more perfect union if we as a nati okkk n do away with this winner takes all but instead split the electoral votes equal to the candidates percentage won. I
I.E. Al gore vs Bush in the state of Florida. If Bush had 900 votes and al gore had 500 votes out of a total of 1400 votes then the voting perfect Bush would have is 9/14 or 64% and gore would be at 5/14 or 36% (percents rounded up) thus Bush would have won 64% of the electoral votes which at the time was 25 so 64% of 25 is 16.25 and Al would have won 8.75.

I believe this would better reflect our will as a nation. It is a compromise of our traditions to protect the few yet hear the concerns of the many.
